Medium-term
There are opportunities for international volunteers who are Christian and over age 18 who are seeking opportunities to serve for six months and beyond. Come with a willingness to encourage and support, to use your skills and experience whilst learning more about what Hands at Work is doing to reach the orphaned, the vulnerable and the sick in Africa. Volunteers are prepared for service through an orientation program. Contact Volunteer Coordinator at volunteer@handsatwork.org. Individuals looking to volunteer for six months or more need to complete the following:
- Application form
- Resume including applicaple volunteer experience
- Confidential medical form
- Reference forms
- Pastor or church leader AND
- Professional or friend
- Recent photo

We accept volunteers with varying skill levels, but are always looking for people with experience in the following areas.
Skilled Trades
Get your hands dirty doing something that you love. We are always on the lookout for people with skills such as building, maintenance, IT, etc.
Finance & Administration
Haven’t seen the connection between ministry and your skill set? Utilise your organisational and planning skills to impact communities in Africa. Opportunities are available for those with years of professional experience to those with general computer knowledge.
Arts & Marketing
Calling all artists! We want designers, videographers, writers, and more! If you have marketing or a creative background come collide your passion with your talent to see your best piece yet!
