We recently hosted a Summer Café event in Sydney, NSW, and invited friends of Hands at Work to come and enjoy a night out. This was an opportunity to re-connect with our friends as well as update them with what Hands at Work is busy doing in Africa. We had an incredible night together and appreciated the efforts of so many people who helped to make it a huge success!
Busie Sityata Jones was visiting Australia from South Africa. She shared first-hand about how Hands at Work enters a new community, and the impact and challenges faced when building new relationships. We had live African tunes brought to us by David and Corrie da Costa, and band and James McLaughlin shared his own experience after recently spending 3 months in South Africa with Hands at Work. We also shared about our new partnership with Ago Okota community in Nigeria.
We are looking forward to hosting more events throughout the year, to share about Hands at Work. If you would like us to host an event at your church or group, please contact Carly at carly@au.handsatwork.org.
